1. Overview
ChemyLab is a free educational application designed to teach chemistry and build visual scientific intuition. We believe in high-integrity, private user experiences. Our app does not require creating an account, registering an email, or signing up. We collect no personal information and store your progress locally on your own device.
2. Information We Collect
ChemyLab operates under a strict privacy-first, local-only model:
- No Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, or accounts.
- Local-First Storage: All element unlock history, stickers earned, custom sandbox setups, and trainer performance data are stored purely on your local device. We do not transmit this data to our servers.
- Zero Ads and Third-Party Trackers: ChemyLab contains no third-party advertisements, tracking pixels, or user profiling tools, making it completely safe for classroom deployment.
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliant)
ChemyLab is designed to be fully compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). Since the software operates locally on the student's device and gathers zero identifying credentials, credentials databases, or tracking data, it is a safe environment for K-12 classrooms.
4. Data Portability and Security
Since your progress is saved in local device storage, deleting the application will clear all stickers and trophies. We do not have a backup of your data because we do not host user accounts. If you have any inquiries regarding our local data model, you can review our full Data Policy page.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion Request
Because ChemyLab does not collect any personal data, create accounts, or store user information on external databases, there are no databases to search or delete records from. If you have opted to contact our team via email (e.g. for support or beta-testing lists) and want your email address removed from our developer contact records, you can submit a removal request on our Data Policy Details page.
